The lightning of a midnight storm has sculptured a Great Bird in the night sky over a beautiful bay on Northern Lake Michigan. Jim O’Neil, Photographic Artist

A touching legend about the birds that “brought thunder on their wings and shot lightning from their eyes” and also an article that describes how the great herds of buffalo disappeared in a bit more than 350 years and includes a picture of the proud hunters and a mountain of buffalo skulls, showing how powerful and capable of taming the land man is. Of course later man is making big efforts to save the species they’ve driven to near extinction. There’s still a lot of lessons we humans have to learn.

Not a real “discovery” since it’s part of trekearth.com. lt’s just that in this kind of sites l always have to look for something about the Czech Republic.
http://www.wild-landscape.com/gallery.htm
Includes an album of photos from México, and the one from the Czech republic is outstanding.
